The berth has no analogues on the Black Sea coast and was built specifically for vessels with deadweight up to 100 thousand tons and maximum draft up to 14.4 meters.
The commissioning of such a berth will open up new promising markets for Russian grain in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, which historically operate with large-tonnage vessels.
«The long-term strategy for the development of the grain complex assumes a significant increase in crop volumes in the next 10 years. Projects like this are very important from the point of view of further increasing exports and improving transport accessibility,» said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut.
